2015 Oscar nominations: Complete list

All of awards season leads up to this: The Academy Award nominations were announced Thursday morning in Los Angeles.

                                         

Wes Anderson has crossed over from art-house darling to academy favorite. The auteur’s offbeat dramedy “Grand Budapest Hotel” scored nine nominations equaling the unconventional, genre-defying movie, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Birdman” for the most nominations.

The most obvious snub was “Selma,” Ava DuVernay’s moving biopic about Martin Luther King Jr. Although that movie was nominated for best picture, the drama’s only other nomination was for best song, for Common and John Legend’s recent Golden Globe winner “Glory.” Neither DuVernay nor lead actor David Oyelowo.
