2,000 U.S. troops based in Kuwait and Afghanistan had a pleasant surprise on New Year's eve, thanks to Beyonce and Jay Z.
The power couple arranged a private screening of their HBO On The Run Tour special along with a personal message from Queen Bey herself.
"Hello everyone. I just want to say a big thank you to all of our troops for doing everything you do to keep our country safe," Beyonce said.
"We all sleep better at night knowing that you guys are protecting us and we are filled with gratitude. So we wanted to do something special for you guys and we teamed up with our friends, the USO, to do a private screening, just for you guys, of the On The Run tour," she added.
'Watching the On The Run concert made me forget I was in Afghanistan for the holidays ... thank you,' said SSGT Ferguson who is stationed at Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan, according to a USO press release.
